What a flop. Supposedly future NBl and Olympians?

Last 3 games
ACT/Tas- no consequence
If Qld thrash WA and NSW beat SA wouldn't WA, SA and Qld all be on three losses.
Might give Qld a slim chance of playing off for the bronze? Not sure if it goes on percentage or to the team on equal points who has beaten the other team.
Shows how dramatic their 5 point loss to NSW and 3 point loss to SA is. A couple of threes in either game and Qld would be right in there with a crack against the Vics in the final. Let's hope that they can play for pride and finish off strongly!
One maroon eye.

Queensland were a different looking team today with the leashes off and playing the style of basketball and at the level and intensity we know them for...well some of us know them for anyway. Salecich awe inspiring and Page, Young and a timeless performance by Nash Allsop worthy of the lead provided by Christian in defence and intensity. Comments from SA and NSW personnel scouting the game along the lines of "how the hell did they lose?" Private conversation with Victorian official reveals they feeling extremely lucky they not playing Queensland again. It's easy to see why.
They play WA again tomorrow for Bronze. Hope the signposts from todays game have been noted and will continue to be acted on.
Queensland Women extremely unlucky and their fate decided by the "officiating call of the tournament" which somehow produced a call that saw Marianna Tolo get her fifth foul when QLD had regained the lead and momentum with about 2 minutes something to go. Sarah Graham and Cassie Smith incredible and Tolo every bit as good as the wraps placed on her. As with the men, one of the two best teams is not in the final.

yea i bet Vic were dead set shitting themselves after beating QLD by 40. how about he was beening polite. No idea who he was talking to and no reason to be polite if he did. But QLD played man defence all game yesterday for a change ( and were able to explode and run the basketball out of that, as only they can). Stiendle's injury forced a change in rotations somewhat and some positive differences were evident. Yesterday was also the first game where they won the boards and in all the result was a reflection of their real ability...just a little late. Very hard to beat the same team twice at this level and even harder to beat them on consecutive days so expecting WA to go a lot closer to reversing the result from yesterday.

Men lead the entire game, up by 7 with 4 minutes to go but end up losing by 6! What's the excuse this time?

Good to see everyone as always pointing the finger and forgetting what happened in a positive manner in this tournament. How about the girls fighting hard through adversity to claim the bronze. Imagine what might have happened if they got some calls in the SA and VIC games. Could have been another National Championship

3 or 4 very valid reasons in that game none of them to do with "over rated" players but.

no excuses just don't play together don't play with the heart and desire needed to be a champion team....
they seem to do it everywhere else except for qld no excuses just what happens

Fair bit of internal dissention about some coaching decisions. Confused unhappy players dont engender heart and desire for a winning team. Parents none too happy either. All know the rule but that if you speak up it could disadvantage your kid.

This group have looked unhappy for the last 3 nationals.... bottom & top age 18's, now 20's. funny though, there's been a different coach each year........

One of the three failed coaches? Shame these kids are not going to know how over rated they really are while the best coaches in the country keep putting them in National teams and College coaches keep recruiting them.

These boys have obvious individual talent, however on the floor, there seems to be no cohesion at times. They all seem to be close, but why don't they win Nationals ? As someone said, 16's, 18's and now 20's
Not sure why, but if they keep making teams or being recruited, is there any accountability ? Still, boys can play individually at times.

qld woulda been a threat if they had the versitility and athletisism of anthony olah. honestly that kid can SCORE!!! instead of pickin the same over rated players over n over again, they shoulda brought sum fresh blood in2 the team 2 up beat things, thats wat anto coulda done
