Just wanted to post a big thank you and write up after a 2nd successful tour by the ADU Japan junior girls basketball team to Sth East Qld.

Firstly a very big thank you to the following basketball identities who were a major part of making this tour a success (listed in no particular order and sorry if for some crazy reason I forgot someone): Richard Orlick, Cathie and Nick Roberts, Dave and Jesse Hilleary, Darrington (sorry mate forget your last name), Yvette and Phil Ewin, Tina and Steve Herbst along with all the opposition coaches and referees of the games.

This time around the girls (aged ages 13 and 14) played 6 games.

Day 2 @ Boondall
Lost by 2 to the Northside U/16 girls premier league team (great game)
Lost by 1 to the Northside U/18 girls premier league team (awesome game....lost on a long 3 point buzzer beater)
Won by 60ish to Northside U/16 development team.

Day 4 @ JPC
Lost 81-71 to JPC

Day 7 @ Beenleigh Arena
Won 51-41 against Logan Thunder U/16 premier league team.
Won by about 8 against Beenleigh Blitz U/16 club team

The tour was an overall great success. Every game was played hard but fair and after the games all the girls from both teams exchanged gifts, signatures, photos and enjoyed the experience.

Next August we will again be back in Australia for another tour and hope we can again enjoy some good hard, fair, fun basketball experiences with the teams around Sth East Qld.

On another note if any Australian teams are interested in touring Japan (who are quickly proving particularly at a junior level that they are a rising force with an exciting brand of fast basketball) check out our website for tours to japan at http://www.japanbasketballtours.com

Once again thanks to everyone who helped make the tour a great success and an unforgettable experience and also to everyone who came out to watch the games and support their teams.

Cheers,
Allan Hilzinger
