Who are these people who come on here and try to direct what people talk about but say nothing themselves
If you want to talk about premiere league GO AHEAD. Dont be telling others what to say you idiot
Go Logan
If they weren,t saying anything there would be nothing to read at all
Prem league doesn,t really start till the second round anyway and truth be told nothing really matters till playoffs as the top 4 will stay the same
STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT OTHERS AND SAY SOMETHING YOURSELF

Logan bris and districts should be fairly even this round
Bris prob slight favourites. Logan at full strength should be a good test
Districts will likely be let down by their coaching again as they were last year and every other time he has coached a team

I am not from Logan but have coached all four of my kids during their rep careers at different times
2 were starters and 2 came off the bench because they were not the best players on the team. During that time 11 players have gone on to represent their country. Several of them had not played for any other coach prior to making those teams. Numerous state players. Several have played professionally and six have recieved college scholarships.
I only coached in the beginning because there was no one else to do the job, however once you coach a player he or she become your responsibility and naturally you wish the best for them and do anything to help them.
I had no desire to coach other than to help out and would have NEVER coached but for my kids playing. I would not have coached another team then as I wanted to watch my kids play
Point being Most coaches get into the game because their kids start playing
They have no desire or time to coach another team and I think this is possibly the greatest coach recruitng tool in existence
Sometimes it does not work out but at rep level they must apply for the job and be approved by others so usually any problem is solved that way
Parents on the sidelines have more chance of being Biased towards their kid and this is one of the trials of the game. Life is not always fair and the game is not always fair but it is a character building exercise either way
I have often been accused of being biased twards my kids by parents who are in fact biased towards their own but I know it is not true
It is far too easy to sit on the sidelines nand criticise but believe me it is a lot tougher to sit on the bench and deal with the myriad issues with good intent and be criticised by ignorant people
Having learned a lot about coaching and having been asked by parents and players to coach. I have now coached several teams without my children being involved.
A word of advice. If you are not happy with the situation. Approach the coach in a polite manner at an appropriate time and discuss what you feel. This almost always has a positive effect and in a worst case scenario you will at least find out where you stand
Discuss with you r child in a constructive way where they stand and put a strategy in place to address the issues
Never abuse the coach or players in public or in front of the child
Do not embarass your child with sideline antics
If the situation is not to your liking use it as a character building exercise
Show respect to all those involved and your child will learn to do the same
As a level 2 Coach with some state assistant coaching experience, I can relate to your comments. I also have coached my own kids at club & rep level, instead of other teams because either way I wanted to be at their games to see them play. If I am there as the coach, the other players also get the benefit of my experience. If I am there as a spectator, the job may go to someone with less qualified and an opportunity maybe missed. At club level I have at times, oppointed other coaches to coach their teams to ensure they are getting exposure to different coaches.
During my involvement with Rep teams over the last 4 years, I have not been aware of any concerns of bias shown to my kid in the team. To the contrary, my son was the only player in the team at last years Classics not to get a turn in the starting 5. His role was best served off the bench. I feel I am able to balance my role as coach to all the players in the team, and treat them all as I do my own. This is confirmed by all the positive feedback I get from players & parents.
Ofcourse I have seen some parent coaches that struggle with the line between the 2 jobs, and just like when I see other coaches with bad habits, I make a mental note of how poor it looks and try hard not to make the same mistakes. It does concern me that in earlier posts, people want to writeoff all parent coaches and this would leave many teams without the benefit of their ability.(a point made so well in the original post above & by 2 cents)

:bravo: well said by one of many dedicated parents who's sacrificed so much for our sport.
Without parents like this basketball would suffer! There are parents who coach and put their child first (ie the Joyce senario w Blaze) and NOT the team....but generally parents who are coaching their own kids understand the priority of the game....team play not my childs play.

Yeah the districts coach seems to be so up himself and thinks he knows it all but he did screw up big time last year in PL and at classics. The team he had destroyed everyone at top age 16s Has he ever done anything good as a coach or is he all talk and no substance?

So you think you can do better. We have so many associations that are screaming out for coaches this guy is a USA college baller and has been around for so many years coaching at a high level. How did he screw it up last year are you blind? Instead of feeding negative information howabout positive to coaches as well as players this has a great input in developing our juniors without them we have no one........

Steve from SD is a good up and coming coach. He makes mistakes like all coaches, but he is committed and a work in progress.
Just as a matter of fact; I would like to know what US College he played at? True he is American born, but I believe the man never played US College basketball.
Also you say he has "coached many years at a high level", unless you consider COC Girls school ball a "high level"? I am sure last year at SD was his first year coaching rep basketball.
Steve is learning and the powers to be at Districts are happy with him at present, and that is all that really matters. However, I am sure Steve and others would appreciate you not making up stuff about his credentials.

If its Steve Edwards your talking about I just wonder if you would think he was a better coach if he wasnt coaching at Districts??? Only Maroochydore beat them last year and the score for the year was 2-2. Just so happened Mdore won their two in Finals games and by no more than 8 on both occasions. The guy knows his stuff and Districts are fortunate to have him.

Brisbane will lose wroe but they gain Sengstock and Coleman from what ive heard.
Not a bad 2 for 1 in my opinion. Brisbane strength is easily there defence (which wroe leads mind you) and there depth.
I imagine Brisbane will now have to adjust to the addition of their 2 bigs, who have hardly played with injury so i wouldn't be surprised to see them stumble early but then quickly return to there good form.
They play a lovely free flowing game, similar to maroochy over the last year or two.
Districts and Logan will continue to be a force and any of these 3 teams can win or lose on any given night against each other.
Districts and Logan also both getting there full squads back so im sure it will be an interesting back half of the season.

yes i agree, wroe plays a big part in brisbanes success on both the offensive and defensive end (especially defense) but as long as coleman and sengstock can adjust and fit in smoothly and quickly, they should be fine and will have a bigger presence in the paint. mccarron will more then likely lift and help the team to maybe take out premier league and then when wroe gets back for classics.
p.s im not saying the whole brisbane team is based on wroe and mccarron, as bbi have players who always contribute, im just mentioning them as they r the main players.
spartans and logan will hopefully be teams to look out for (as soon as logan stops winging about their situation) and there may be an upset. but my bet is definately on brisbane......at the moment.

no brissy will be far to good, sorry.
Will come down to personnel management at Classics. BBI are all class with McCarron and Wroe and now apparently have some quality new pieces to the jig-saw puzzle that makes a State Champion team. How well the group conduct and manage themselves on the road in the freezing Toowoomba tundra in July will be the key. They have all the horses to do it and now Coach has a huge task ahead. (It's sometimes more difficult to win with an extremely talent laden team than one with a bunch of 'average' guys.)

Exactly my point he won everything except when it actually counted and in my opinion had the best talent on a team with a history of dominance

Give the guy soem credit.
Last years team did not have the depth from previous seasons and were always going to struggle at some stage through the season with injuries.
Maroochydore and Districts were well ahead of the pack and on any given day either side could win.
The coaches role involves more that basketball particularly at this age and Steve does a marvellous job supporting and mentoring his young players on and off the court.
If their were more dedicted coaches such as this the sport would only be stronger.

BQ in their ultimate wisdom have decided to call the game a draw. After MDore were allowed by BQ to not play the orginal game as scheduled, the two teams could not find a time when all players were available to play the game.
MDore will finish first, assuming they win their last game, Silver have the bye; and will finish in second spot becaue of precentage.
Go figure.....
That's the dumbest thing i've heard. The two teams from div1 that will crossover will have the same win-loss record more than likely(1 and 6).
Unless titans can knock off GC #1
So you're saying they forfeited for pts% which is about 6 percent difference right now...

There is an outside chance that with a good draw they could make the top 5 and avoid the grading tourney. May want to come second for a better draw or if the 7th placed team has more points than the 8th

Not sure what u mean by gradining tourney?? i think u mean wildcard challenge for classics?? and unlike previous years all 8 premier league teams get an automatic spot in div 1 at classics unless a team enters the wildcard challenge in which case the 7th and 8th placed premier league teams are able to be challenged.
Match of the round is the eagerly awaiting Bne V Logan. Logan have a chance to answer their critics at home this week. However expect Bne to be too strong.
Titans will struggle to contain GC Waves whilst Spartans should defeat Wizards. Redlands v GC Breakers should be a tough tussle. Will give it to Redlands by a whisker.

maroochy had one good quarter but looked fairly ordinary for most of the game. Will see how they go travelling back to carina to play bris 1 today OUCH
Logan sturggled against a depleted Goast Coast outfit. Couldn't put them away even though GC only had 7 players and were down to 3 in the last few minutes.
Districts in a lacklustre win over GC 2 who showed no signs being of effected by their challenge game yesterday.
Great to play in an airconditioned stadium. Should be more of them.
Any news on the other two games, esp. the Bne Maroochy clash!

Brisbane by 30 over Maroochy.
Brisbane weren't as polished as usual at the defensive end, and werent much better at the offensive end. Maroochy kept coming at them and never gave up, with some good performances.
Caps just too good though, however they just couldnt put them away by a reasonable margin, as would have been expected

Logan were far from struggling but held their own more than adequatley. Gold Coast pushed, prodded, elbowed, tripped and even tried to permantely bench one of Logans players for wearing long skins. Even having approaval from BQ still wasnt good enough to allow him to play. Gold Coast was packing it from the first whistle and the better team won in the end. The foul count for Gold Coast was proof enough that were doing everything and anything to win but unfortunately they didnt geT away with it THIS TIME!!!!.

Under what circumstances is he allowed to wear skins? what condition out there makes him required to wears skins? what did he do 3 or 4 years ago before they were made? its a load of crap, play within the rules and dont wear the crap. Lebron doesnt wear them anymore :P lol

btw perhaps brisbane's flatness against mdore may have been caused from their loss of wroe and his defensive/offensive energy and skill?? maybe.
still dont think brisbane has it in the bag though, classics shall be tough

That may play a small part in it missing wroe, but i think its probably more to do with an earlier post about the team needing to adjust with the addition of there bigs who haven't played until now i don't think. the team needs to re-mesh as they seem to have had some big changes.
I also dont think anyone has said Brisbane has it in the bag. But so far no one has gotten within single digits of them, so they are definitly in with a red hot go.
Maroochy will be tough and upset some teams...I personally can see them beating (or coming very very close) everyone except the top 3 of Thunder, Districts and Caps.
Its way too early to really tell anything and classics is such a different set up to PL. You need to be a solid deep team to compete at classics, as you back up continuously without a weeks rest.

Just win that unexpected game when least expected and the tournament changes. Look at Brisbane last year. Get to the semis win the last two and who cares who was favourites 6 months ago.??? Be bloody cold up there but.

As i said in my earlier post they will knock over everyone else and challenge the top 3. Districts could only do them by 10 is interesting though
I heard Brisbane did redlands by 80pts and Goldy I beat Goldy II by 10 or so
Logan were up 21 in first qtr against wiz, who clawed it back to be down 3 with 2 minutes to go, and then proceeded to drop their bundle, letting logan put 14 unanswered on them.

Who were the refs on that game? Was it that female ref (red hair i think) ?
To the poster about the foul count...Foul count is only part of the picture....its when calls are made in key parts of the game that change the momentum, thats what makes a difference.

Mate thats the same cop out that underachieving coaches players and their parents have been croaking for years. The bloke that reffed couldnt be any more anti-maroochydore if he tried. It's a well known fact around the place. Did you see his performance in the girls game before? I did and saw the Districts game too. Districts came with their "superior" attitude and playing for show and personal recognition. Soft. MDore played tough and never dropped their bundle. Had a genuine dig and nearly pulled it off. Nothing to do with refs especially not the bloke who thinks he has to blow Maroochydore off the court in every game so people in Brisbane will take notice of him and give him some games. Districts and the usual suspects were bleating the same thing last year (they could only beat Mdore at Districts with their infamous refs and at Mdore when the same bloke waived away a winning basket with 5 secs to go and called a travel giving the game to districts) but they got beat when it counted on neutral courts with neutral referees. Gees it'd look bad if the same happened as last year??!!
From what I saw last night I doubt Districts will get past the semis if they make the 4.
Wouldnt it be wierd if the State team was full of Brisbane and Districts and Gold Coast and Maroochydore played the classics final?? Only joking. Cant see anyone troubling BBI this year.
keep it real

Obviously we are dealing with someone who has a high basketball IQ! What are you on about? How about you just stick to the facts!? It has nothing to do with superior attitude. It sounds like a personal hang up on your part.
Last years games were epic battles, with great intensity and having the best team win on that day. That's it ! Stop making it personal and appreciate good games. ( last year )
As for the Refs, yes ploural. There was a second ref on court saturday. I guess he would be Mdore supporter, since he wasn't mentioned in your post. Its not always about the number of fouls called in the game. Its often the time that it was called, that can change the game. Of course, you would know that !
Refs need to realize that the game is about the players and no ref should determine the outcome of a game. Saturdays game was like an U'12's game. neither team could get anything going, especially the visiting team.
Mdore boys played hard and that's what everyone expected them to do, so well done.
Definitely wasn't Districts best performance, but they got it done. Sometimes wins aren't very pretty and that was certainly UGLY! Districts needs to get it together if they want to compete at Classics!

Ok you make your point and didnt mean to get personal.
I did notice the other guy seemed to make a few calls "out of the blue" sort of. Like he just felt that things were flowing a bit too much and it seemed like a good time to make a call and get noticed. Didnt think it had that much an impact but I well take your point about trying to gather momentum against stop/start type reffing. And some of the foul calls (both sides) were flat out "soft" and just incidental contact with no real bearing on the play.
I'm sure Districts will get it together by July. They compete ALL weekend at Classics, have a good coach and will be fitter and sharper by then.

Sounds like the usual Districts Maroochy stoush with perhaps Districts a bit complacent and Maroochy keen to show that they're definitely Premier League contenders. Expect Maroochy to improve and cause headaches for all the other PL sides that they play (bit stiff that they had to play the top 2 sides in their initiation to PL.).

Redlands have not fielded a full team from the start because of a stupid club rule that says they can only select 10 players for a Rep Team. Ok when they are playing teams in SC maybe... but in PL they are going to get smashed if this doesn't change. Definitely a big disadvantage when teams are subbing fresh players on and they have nothing to draw on especially if they have injuries or players fouled off.

Mmm... this comment shows little understanding as is. You need to be more definitive when saying this type of thing.
For example. A 10 man team is the perfect number, sure you may rely on an 8 man rotation but you really need atleast 10 to account for injuries, time away etc etc.
Not to mention come classics you need 10 to give kids good rest. If you have more than 10 its tough when all bodies are fit and healthy to give everyone a run.

Redlands only playing 1game a week, what is this all about???????? Having a full team of 10 is the right of every club, if 11 or 12 are needed so be it.I have been to many a classic with 10 only to be cut down to 7 or 8,(i wished i had taken 12.) Redlands as a club should be behind the TEAM, for they are the ones who have earned the right to play P.L.--------- this goes for all clubs
Northside to account for GC Breakers
Capitals to defeat GC waves, but expect a closer finish than last time's 33 point defeat.
Logan v Maroochydore- game of the round. Should be a cracker. If this was played at Maroochydore I would give it to them by 5 to 6 points. Logan should pull through at home.
Districts v Redlands. Districts should come away with the points. Will depend on their injury list.

Yeah thats true. However maroochy wernt ready for grading. And i have to say that the time they spent in sth cup is probably why they have been so sucessfull / competative in premier league so far. Teams take time to develop, and i think come classics time they will be a level higher again. Good luck maroochy

Goldy v Brisbane was an interesting one.
Goldy came out shooting very well, especially from beyond the arc, at the same time Brisbane didn't seem to be playing that well and found themselves down 4 at the end of the first quarter.
By halftime Goldy had a 14pt lead and Brisbane didnt look to have any momentum going. Some of the referring was interesting to say the least but goldy deserved to be in front.
First 1 and a half minutes into the third quarter and Brisbane had like 4 team fouls to Goldys none. Again it seemed like there were some interesting calls being made. Brisbane however got it back to about evens by the end of the third period. There was a huge move by one fo the Brisbane kids in the post, which resulted in him doing a spin move and throwing down a huge two hander which started to swing things back brisbane way.
Fourth quarter was all Brisbane as they ran away with the game to win by 20ish.
Referring was good, however there were some phantom calls thru out the game that really seem to slow Brisbane and just should not have been made. The ref even had blow his whistle and stop the game for a second just to get Brisbane supporters to calm down.
All in all though much better game than the first time the two meet.

Wow great to see the wiz and waves being more competitive along with moochy shame its the second round already. Maybe they should play another round to stay in game shape for classics.
I was at the logan game and again the underdog lead right from the start Moochy answered every run that Logan made to hold a ten point lead till half time
Logan came out very intense in the third and took the lead without moochy scoring. they built the lead and were up 12 at 3/4 time. Game looked well and truly over after a 29 to 9 quarter
Moochy came out unfazed and put a ten point run of their own on and then proceeded to take a 5 pt lead with a couple to go couple big 3's from logan bucket for bucket moochy get a stop and have the ball with 16 secs to go. Time out 1 posession to win. Turnover on the inbounds, logan score fast break layup, bench let clock run out game over Brilliant game both teams playing well great to watch very high standard

Nice come back by brissy to say the least. Goldy playing very well, leading by 14 or so at half time, they have to hold it together a bit longer.Great game by by 2 great teams.Districts and redlands great first quarter and start of second nothing in it i was told, redlands folded again, this seams to be a trend, same as the referring hear ?????? calls made. I wonder weather redlands are ready for P/L, hearing they are not playing a full team and with a high injury count , what is this club and there coaches doing, remember the boys ( all clubs and girls) come first...... brizzy.b

Yes! Pity that Maroochy have come up agaisnst the top 3 PL teams in their first 4 games. With a bit more time I'm sure they would challenge for 4th spot.
Yeh whatever. But it's the same old thing. Can anybody remember who wins PL? Does anybody care? Classics is the true test of a team and its mettle. Theres a few of those Maroochy kids who've passed that test before.
p.s. the "grading tournament" is a 20 minute lunch time scrimmage bears no resemblance to a reaL real game of basketball and is an insult to decent coaches decent players and the sport in general. Another BQ "stain".

Agree! Grading comp needs some serious upgrading. 20 minute game is not long enough.
Irrespective of where Maroochy finish in PL, they will be a force come Classics.

Would have been unheard of for any team to be leading Brisbane at half time in the earlier part of the season. Are they missing Corban or are the other sides improving?

They have had a couple of games where they start weak and finish strong. I dont think they would be too concerned..

Speaking of "bigs", anyone know the whereabouts /intentions of Keba who went missing in action, presumably also overseas, late last year?

I think there is some rule about overseas players playing at classics?? so might be hard for him to play for anyone at classics, if that is his intensions.
Redlands V Waves: Waves to account for the inconsistent Reds. (how many players will they field this week?)
Maroochy V Northside: Maroochy should win but won't get it all their own way.
Districts V Logan. Match of the round! Districts should be nearly back to full stength. Will be close. Litmus test for Logan. Expect Districts to win narrowly.
Bne V Breakers. Should be a percentage booster for Bne (not that they need it with top spot sewn up).

DaDunker, love your weekly forecasts. Must admit thought his must be one of the easier seasons for you to predict...Have you got one wrong so far this season?
Your right with the Logan v Districts game should be a cracker
Brisbane Points for/against is the impressive part, they lead both categories by a fair margin.
What is the finals set up? 1 v 4 and 2 v 3 winners go thru?

Thanks! Agree there has been a degree of predictability. Arrival of Maroochydore has livened things up a bit.
Finals as you say will be 1v4 and 2 v 3. Expect Bne to finish top with Waves 4th. (Wizards would have to win all their last 3 games and Waves lose their last 3 for Waves to be displaced from the top 4. )That leaves Districts and Logan with the 2/3 positions. Won't matter which order, as they will play each other in the 2nd semi. Logan will need to win tomorrrow and then beat Bne in the final round to take 2nd spot from Districts.
Last round will be a blinder. Apart from Logan/Bne, there'll be Marroochy/Waves, Redlands/Breakers and Districts/Wizards.

Yes! Redlands appear to have problems fielding 10 players. Can't play at Pl standard with only 7 players. SD have found the going tough over the past few weeks with several of their regular players out. Heard that the Reds are having problems retaining players: May be switching to other codes such as Aussie Rules. Pity, they have showed promise as a new team on the block!

It doesn't help though getting smashed in PL by 50+. Cant be good for the morale.
I'm sorry but a blow out in premier league should not be more than 30-40pts. This is meant to be our marque competition for boys this age in SEQ
It should have only been a 6 team competition this year.

It is a shame to see teams getting smashed like that. But, the Redlands need to develope and the only way is to play at a higher level. I know I have nothing to do with the 18's and my team has struggled all season too. When we played our crossover there was a definate difference between us and Runaway Bay. I put it down to playing at the higher level all year and our team development has benifited from this. We smashed them by 35 points, and in previous years we have lost to RB at classics with basically the same teams. So I disagree with the "It should have only been a 6 team competition this year". In an ideal world there would be an even comp, but there is no way they should cut down the number of teams in a PL comp.

When the big ego, over rates Spartans under 18 boys start to play as a team they will improve.

Weak efforts against Logan and BBI (no disrespect to these teams) in the past 2 weeks highlights that this team has its fair share of problems.

Great game up to half time and then Spartans went into their now customary 3rd quarter fade. Bne far too good under the basket and from the 3 point line. Spartans weak defensively; let too many 3's in without applying pressure and Bne's guards were allowed to run amuck. Can't see any team getting any where near Bne in their current form.

HAHAHA were you at the game? Thats a pretty misinformed comment if you were
Look at brissy starters on the night
1. That kid form BBC
2. Macca
3. Another guy i don't know
4. Sengstock
5. Bairstow.
Bairstow and Sengstock barely played cause i think they were in foul trouble. Coleman got alot of minutes. BC and West also played alot and they both came of the bench
I think everyone from Brisbane scored and 2 out of the 3 top scorers came of the bench for Caps.
Macca had a good game but by far not one of his best games, he was off with his shooting thats for sure.
I would also think Brisbane would tell you thats not one of there better games offensively or defensively, but they got the job done quite convincingly

Give the coach a break!
Steve and Shane did a great job last year with their team and are doing so again this season.
I personally know that last years squad have the utmost respect for both of these coaches who like everyone else put in countless hours of their own time developing individuals and moulding teams.
Sometimes there is more to gain in a loss than a victory and I am sure Tom, Ash & Co will stand up to be counted when it counts.

Few idiots said the same about Maroochy coach last year and them and Spartans were daylight ahead of anybody else. Maybe Steve is just phasing his team to "make the top 4-win the last two-then Classics"??? Seen it work before.

One week to semis! Spartans need to consolidate with a good win against Wizards this weekend. Expect them to do so.
Other games:
All goodns' this week which could go either way:
Maroochydore to edge out Waves.
Breakers to tough it out against Redlands
Caps to take it out over Logan in the match of the round.
Results are for bragging rights only as semi final set up is academic with Bne playing Waves and Logan playing Spartans (unless Spartans really drop the ball and lose to Wizards, and Waves beat Maroochdore, in which case Waves (23 points) would move to 3rd and play Logan and Spartans (23 points) would drop to 4th and play Bne.) Interesting!!!!

Titans V Noosa. Titans have maintained a winning run lately and should account for Noosa
Bay V Silver. Runaway Bay to be too strong for Bne Silver in a close one.
Thinking Noosa have realised what they could stand to accomplish here and teams get very dangerous when they play with nothing to lose and everything to gain. Certainly their Coach has been doing his homework. Noosa by a basket in OT.

the grapevine has it that redlands has lost most of their team and are holding try outs on the 30th to get a team for the classics looks like they are in some kind of trouble keeping players

Obviously the Noosa coach did not do enough homework, the noosa team were completely outplayed for the majority of the game. Everytime noosa challenged, the titans fought back.
Maybe the noosa players need to stop talkin crap from the sidelines and actually play some ball.
Titans to beat Runaway Bay in final

Ah well they had a go and did better than a Noosa side has ever done before. Not bad when you consider they have around 12 eligible players to choose their team from and Districts have around 120. Maybe next year.

its a shame, this team had a lot of going for it. We played these boys a number of times fast hard games, but could see something was missing maybe the coach needs to look at himself. These boys need a chance........and maybe a change. bb

Yeah redlands do have talent love what they have done emerging in last couple of seasons hope they keep it up. Their 18's do have talent all in all a good entry to the prem league remember they avoided the bottom 2 to stay out of challenge and will get better with time
What happened to districts this year ?
Is it True what everyone is saying that the coach doesn't know what he is doing. A team that starts well and gets steadily worse is usually a sign of poor coaching and it has happened 2 years in a row and getting worse faster as year goes on
Easy for some parents and players to be blinded by an accent but everyone I have heard speak about the team has a very low opinion of the coach
possibly to balance the high opinion he has of himself
Anyone in the know have something to add

The undefeated team usually comes unstuck in the grand final.

Great game logan played well
lost the lead when coach subbed out the whole starting lineup 3rd 1/4 and never got back in. Still a very good game. Think it showed anything is possible
Great season from bris
Taylor wasn't really shut down just had an off night, looked to be struggling to run

logan lost the lead when the bench came on and as for the standouts
for logan it would of have to of been jordan, josh and daniel.
jordan's defense has actually improved for only 3 yrs of playing basketball
and richard played good defense as well.
taylor had an off night but the coach probably had a reason to that!
josh was okay but could have been better but was lazy on d most of the time!
macca played good as usual but not only scoring but assists and rebounds
as well. eric was okay though but overall brisbane were the better team.
congratulations to brisbane and the boys.

Runaway Bay has lost players, had players injured and sick and when they start to show they can play ball, no one gives them credit.
They are moving up to Div 1, they wont win and probably wont beat the top 4, but a great job fellows best of luck.
Great Job Michael Merlano 35 pts, 24 pts and 29pts and 31 rebounds in the final, Great job Jarron and Jaelen.
to the coach you just started to make a team of these guys...NO ONE AT BAY WANTS YOU TO GO!! Best of Luck Joel

wow so mature. I've never seen such a judgemental site. He has played some great games, give him credit, don't just put him down. But wait.. if he can't play then why did he make the state team last year?

We all know how he got there to dont we. Yes the kid has game but not state level especially being bottom age.
Have a look at Merlanos stats for Nationals also, not very impressive and spent a lot of time on the bench.
