View Full Version : 08/09 NBA season on foxtel...
Does anyone know when the NBA games start on espn / fox sports? NBA.com still hasn't updated their international tv section yet..
i dont know for sure, but ESPN i think will be televising most of their NBA Wednesday and Friday shows during the season. I cant wait for the Suns @ Spurs on 30/10. If they dont televise that there ll be trouble.
I also think that TNT has teamed up with Fox Sports again, so hopefully we'll be able to get the TNT games on the box: looking forward to Hornets @ Suns on 31/10!
ESPN has been showing some pre-season games ... Bucks vs Warriors tonight, and I think the same teams played another game last night.
who'd want to watch bucks-warriors?
i mean the warriors are nothing without monta ellis and b diddy and the bucks...nuff said.
ESPN have Suns @ Spurs on Thursday and Trail Blazers @ Spurs on Saturday.
At this stage it doesn't look like Fox Sports 1, 2 or 3 are broadcasting the TNT games this Friday (Hornets @ Suns).

Nah, sorry. In America it would be part of their double, but in Australia they're showing Spurs @ Blazers. I'm pissed. I was looking forward to seeing Derrick Rose play in the League, but Greg Oden will suffice. Also looking forward to seeing the Big 3 and their new banner, but such is life.
According to the ESPN website we do get the bulls v celtics game on Saturday.

I have heard that fox sports will not be showing any NBA games this year so if you have foxtel ESPN will be showing a game thursday and saturday.... which means we miss out on the wednesday and friday games that we got last season..... which sux!!

i was going on the foxtel website's tv guide: https://www.foxtel.com.au/EPG/EPG.aspx search for "nba" in the next 7 days and look for nba friday
i think foxsports has ditched the nba for Australia's most overrated, overhyped over everything sport, cricket. i mean, c'mon, whats next, Lacrosse? Badminton?
just found out fox sports no longer have the rights to the nba. Channel 10's new channel "One HD" is going to be a 24hr sport channel and they have the rights for 3 live games a week.... but doesn't start until april 09. so between ESPN and One HD we get 5 games.... :-)
really, thats great. shame we have to wait till april. bummer.
Hi Guys,
For anyone who is interested, a mate mentioned the the NBA League Pass now has an international option.

For $85 US you can get every game live via Broadband - and replies of every game still available for 24 hrs. I tried a 1 day pass and the quality is pretty good. I think it is a bargain, provided you have high quality broadband with sufficient download.
Yeah, I saw that the other day, too. I think I'll give it a try, because it's an absolute bummer to miss the games that TNT would broadcast in the US, and would be available on Fox Sports. That being said though, ESPN does seem to have a good lineup of games this year, even though the first four weeks or so seem to have a lot of San Antonio and not enough of any good teams.
Just found a website called www.channelsurfing.com and you catch watch all live games for free over the net.... im watching pistons v raptors live right now.......
www.channelsurfing.net sorry!!
Two Bulls games on ESPN in the frst week, UGH. I hope they are the only two. The Bulls are TERRIBLE to watch, just plain terrible.
