Maroochydore has opened up nominations for their 2009 Oz Day Carnival.

Nomination forms are available on their website - http://www.maroochy.basketball.net.au/

When: January 23rd-26th (Friday night to Monday)

Nominations close Friday 9th January.

pretty sure theres goin to be a few gladdy boys hittin moolooaba satnite... but after last few drunken escapades both north n south dont count on them being at every game...

What do you mean by original?
I go out and get a new design for the uni's every two years!

Since I designed them both I think Im qualified to say that I love them both equally.

Beers are the best shimmer style uni's there are, and the Milkmen are the best dye sub.

To whoever said come up with something original for the Milkmen Id like to see where any of their designs have ever been done before...

What a clown! I think the Beers would be the first to admit they're old guys who have more talent off the court than on these days.

I think one of their slogans is 'aiming for average' even....

actually it was good to see mate, especially team Dunk or should i say team Drunk they inspired me to hit the bar before my next game an it really worked we still lost but i laughed alot more...

it shouldnt matter wat level you play, ur always goin to go hard and/or av fun...

It was a shame a few teams treated each match as Game 7 of the NBA Finals, but each to their own I guess.

Mt Crosby (Mike, Thalo, Josh Darragh, Meyerding, Josh Knight) took out the A Men with a tight finish over Game Gear (bunch of Gold Coast boys featuring Zaremba and Simanic. Thalo and Dan put on a scoring clinic, great to watch. Funnily enough the Coast boys pounded Crosby by 25-ish the previous day. Good to see the Neers and Bundy/Gladdy boys getting out on the court and enjoying themselves. Overall though not the standard of exceptional talent of past years.

Blazers (few ex-ABA players) scraped by Postels in B Men.

Not too sure who got the A Women title, but there were only four teams.

Cheers to all the refs who toiled throughout the days. A few calls missed here and there, but that's to be expected. Disappointed the way some of them were treated by others who should be setting a better example.

Would like to know the BQ brainiac who scheduled BQJBC games the same weekend as this tournament. Nice going idiots.

Have to commend the Under 18 Maroochy A grade boys. Lost to Game Gear in overtime with a good win over Full Cream Milkmen. None of there Pool B games were a blowout, only going down by a few points.

Well done boys, not bad for a bunch of 15 year old lads.

Agreed. Don't mind being spanked by 30, but it's ridiculous when you're playing against a bunch of ex-ABA blokes who are playing a press through the last quarter. Nice one Blazers ya dickheads.

well if all goes to plan, we are hoping to put an Original Port City Power team in div 2 for next year no-one below the age of 29 so rest assured we wont be playing press in the 4th qtr actually we wont be playin anything but zone, dead ants or statues if we play defence at all that is...
