Oden out for season

Greg Oden (this yrs no 1 draft pick) has to have microfracture surgery and will miss the entire 07/08 season. ooks like durant should lock up ROY honours.

Will be intersting to see how he recovers from this, some big names have had micro surgery before some have come back some have never been themselves since.

He apologized to the Trailblazers organizations which i thought was nice of him.

Wouldnt say Durant has locked the ROY up, even with oden he was still favourite, but afew guys should shine, with Jeff Green, Mike Conley, Al horford and Al thorton all looking for big roles. Dont count them out yet.

As for Oden, we have seen alot of players never be the same, but something he has on his side is youth, the youngest recent player to go through this is Amare, and hes a monster again. I hope the most for Greg, but i do think hes going to be alright, give him a year of rehab, and afew years, he will still be a solid, if not franchise player.

Blazers still shouldnt be that bad, alot of good young talent around. And with a front court of aldridge and frye, and the young back court of roy, jack, blake, webster although not many veterans, they will do alright. Wont light the west on fire, but wont be pushovers.
