MONDAY
7:05 - TD3 v Deagon Destroyers (c1)

Bye - TD1, TD2

WEDNESDAY
No games due to State of Origin

To clarify - TD1 (Mens 2 - Mitch), TD2 (Mens 2 - Ben), TD3 (Mens 3 - Carl). There's also a new scheduling system this season, with complete divisions getting the bye instead of a team from each division. Mens 2 has the bye first up.

Dave Klich's career at Team Dunk is over, with the 21-year-old premiership winning captain announcing today he and the club will amicably part ways, effective immediately.

Klich made the announcement this afternoon at a press conference at the club's Boondall headquarters, the culmination of 10 days discussion with Dave Miller and the club over his playing future, which had arisen following his latest on-court indiscretion, striking the playing surface with a vicious two-handed slap during Dunk's final game of their 2009 summer season campaign.

Klich played 62 matches for Dunk since switching from Southern Cross at the end of the 2005 season. But he won't be, as many expected, leaving the game to take up his other passion, boxing. He now plans to take some time away from the game, but continue to train and be ready to launch an assault on the 2010 basketball season, when he is hopefully picked up by another club.

Only last week in his column in the Bayside Herald, Klich made it clear he did not want to retire, and did not want his career to end this way, but conceded the club could sack him, or he may have to consider walking away, taking a break and then hopefully be picked up by another club next season.

"I don't want to retire because I feel I still have some good basketball left in me, I honestly believe that and my plan at this stage is to be a Boondall player in 2010," he wrote last week. "

"But the other option I need to also seriously consider and one which naturally would be a massive decision to make, is, could now be the right time for me finish up at Dunk?

"By that I don't mean retirement. I mean walk away from the club not basketball! It could give me a break I might benefit from, and freshen me up for a crack with a new club next season, and at the same time give the club a break from Dave Klich, and take the pressure off them a bit in terms of what they should do with me.
