The under 20 program starts on the 21st october from 5:30pm till 7:30pm on Wednesday nights. Applications will be on the website next Tuesday. We will be doing a men and womens program. On Sundays players involved will be expected to make themselves available for individuals. The players will train through to Xmas and then a selection process will be conducted with squads formed to compete in the GBL along with other players involved in the SEABL program. Any players who ae looking to get into the SEABL program need to apply for this program.
The big kids program starts in 2 weeks and wll operate on Friday afternoons from 4pm till 6pm. Again applicatins will be out next Tuesday from website.
The shooters program has been delayed for at least 6 weeks until we assess where the greatest need is.
Peter Pendle will be heading up the new programs that will also come on offer over the next 6 weeks.
The programs at this time will be limited to players who compete in our local competitions due to the high demand that we ae aware of.

I think the first open trials for U20 men's state tem will be on oct 31 nov 1 at QSAC. Unsure when the announcement will be but keep an eye out as it could be somewhere else. Apparently any player of standard wanting to play for Qld can try out. I also heard it was the same coaches as last year,

Bit hard to do when other Assoc are approching and taking logan players good thing the loyal ones and better players stayed at Logan. And the ones who have joined Logan on their own realize what a great Assoc it is.

Get off your high horse...the poaching has been done by Logan and if they (the nu ones didn't come over) Logan wouldn't have won last night, thanks to Tom and newbys kiwi boys. Come on you know you were lucky, frekking lucky to win that game when you were down by 17. Lucky to have Tom (playing) and Tom (coaching). Put on your 'LOYAL ONES' only and lets see how good they are, OMG how arrogant is this after one game. Do yourselves a favour and train hard this week!

We won not by luck because the boys came together and played as a team you loser, and you are the arrogant one. Every one put in a fantastic game and they will only get better so you are right to be scared.

Your telling the logan boys to train hard, i would like to just point out they did; thats why they won. they have only had one training with a full team and they have lots of new player who are seeming to gell. as the season goes on these boys will constantly get better.
Just curious, who has Logan poached?
Logan Poached players? I think that a couple of Redlands boys went down to trial after thier team folded.
And it is always a choice of which assoc to play for. All clubs poach players Look at the player movement out of Logan this year not to mention Spartans and Cabulture, would BBI have the same list now if there wasnt player movement? Bit of a beat up I think.
17 down and win, WOW thats a big turn around,:hifive: good on you gents, that shows heart and determination.

One of them was internal politics, don't know about the other?
Why is it two 2 many? Players are free to play where they want.

logan won second round against northside by 12ish.
logan lost two players, jordan teo and nathan o'shea who are both playing for norths
As for the poaching there hasn't been any?
tom came across because he has good mates here, the new kiwi boys have been playing club in logan for the past year including the competitive season, there is two kids from redlands because the team folded and the rest are logans loyals.
I think someone (southwest) was just sad that they got their buts kicked after they practically had the game wrapped up.

Coastal do look good, but until they play SW or Logan I can't call them No. 1 team.
A solid win on the weekend agaist SW will convince me they deserve the title of favourite, and then the challenge remains to maintain it.
Logan 2-0 as well right now

must've played an unregistered or a player without a transfer... only reason i can think of for forfeit. But they had same lineup for first week, so either they forfeit both or none.
same thing has happened to runaway bay u18 boys too. lost both games but not on scoresheet.

Hey guys,
Wow this Under20's season is shaping up to be a good one. I think we can all agree to that.
I was watching the Coastal Vs South West game last night.
Went down to the wire Coastal seemed to have it in the first QRT but dropped there bundle and couldnt shoot when the time came down to it but came back strong int he fourth to only lose by 5 close game really could of gone both way but South West just played the better mental game and got the W.
South West was quick and played a great mental game getting inside a few players heads and even the head coach of Coastal. the game could of been tied up and into Ot if Coastal had of hit the 4 Free Throw South West gave them with a foul and a tech but could only drop 1 of the 4.
Coastal Vs Logan will be another great game I think.
Just looking at the Coastal team for a minute they were only playing 9 does anyone know who was out and why.??
South West also didn't look like they had a full squad or is that how many they have? I thought mark and mines played for South West or was that just a rumour??
Does anyone know what the scores were out of the Gold Coast Vs Boondal game was?
Good luck to all teams over the next few weeks and to all the boys goin to Schoolie 09 stay safe and have a great season looking forward to the Grand Final

Southern Districts will be entering teams in the D Laegue tournament planned for March 6,7,8 2010.
The Tournament is for both Men & Women and is open to all member clubs to participate. Eligibility is for players 23 and under as at 30th September 2010. Clubs may apply to the Office for exemption to these rules as per By Law 5.6. All teams are responsible for their own travel costs.
Depending on the number of entries, it is envisaged that all teams would play no more than two games per day.
Players inetrested in getting involved in the program must contact the office on www.sdbal@bigpond.net.au
We are inviting players from all associations as the squad will play a huge part of the development of the Spartans and Lady Spartans in SEABL. We especially want to hear from under 20 age group players.

Wow!! what a game it was. Logan came out with guns blazing but giving gold coast credit they fought back. The refs let a 3point shot go after the buzzer which sent everything off. The refs made a few bad calls but in all they did not do too bad. Number 13 for Logan decided that he needed to save the day in the second half by hogging the ball all the time by either trying to drive or shooting a three and missing. Basketball is a team sport and he needs to learn that. Congrats to gold coast with a 6 point win...well done.
