Maroochydore Oz Day Carnival 2010

The good people of Maroochydore have opened up their nominations early.

Dates are from Jan 22-24 (Fri night to Sun arvo). Unfortunately the actual Oz Day holiday is on a Tuesday, so it won't fall during the carnival.

Grades are the usual A & B Mens/Womens.

Noms close Jan 8th.

Is it 2 days only or will we be playing on the Friday night?

I'd hazard a guess and say due to the crammed schedule, most grades will be playing games on the Friday night.

Perhaps Denise, Waz or somebody else from Moochy may be kind enough to oblige with info here ....

Games on Friday night start at 6pm, and will be A Grade only.

Sat/Sun will probs be early starts and late finishes to make up for the condensed schedule.

ok so who's going to be there this weekend???

Power is putting in our un23 kids in and a social team but the social team only has 1 or 2 QBL guys and has a high chance of being intoxicated or hungover for the majority if not all of their games...

Dunk is bringing four teams for the social grades, and the Beers will be there in force again as well.

Would like to know who else is playing A Grade. Hopefully there's a few good games on Friday night to keep us entertained while we sink a few.

draw is up on the website now with the ideal run for the DG power not having to play til after lunch on satday means we'll be at Fridays on Friday :)
anyone know who Cankle breakers an do good stuff an whether clippers are young or old team??? hopefully we can get em drunk on frinite too then we'll have a good day satday...

I think they have stuffed up the draw.

It looks like they are doing a round-robin for the finals but in the BM pool AA, 1st Pool A only plays one game...????

i didnt bother to check if the draw was wrong or not, did anyone else verify it and are we goin to find out if there are any changes sometime soon?? cos i already have my drinking agenda planned and it would be a shame to ruin such well thought out plans...

Another good (but exhausting) tourney at Maroochy with most people (bar one particular mob) getting into the carni spirit.

Mustangs (Thalo, Wingding) won A Men in a close one against a mix of Caps, Spartans and JC.

South West girls (Wallis sisters, Carrie et al) took A Women in a close one also against Pacers (Kristy Williams, Simone Grant, Ish etc).

Wolverines got up by about 10 over Cromwell Cougars in B Men.

Not sure about B Women.

Talk that a C grade will be introduced for the blokes next year to allow for those who can't play, or want to have a good time with mates while sinking a few.

was another good one down the coast, apparently word on the street was i got arrested as well which is weird cos i thought i was soft an sleeping in bed haha...
