SDBAL is now opening up the development programs to athelets from other Associations. Applications can be downloaded from our website www.sdspartans.basketball.net.au
EXPESSIONS OF INTEREST
The SDBAL is proud to announce the start of our new development programs aimed at ensuring a pathway for our juniors as they move towards the senior ranks. The pathways are for both men and women, with additional programs on offer in 2010.

Program One
Port Macquarie / Pacific Slam January 12th through to January 21st 2010
A male and female team will compete at this event in the under 17 age groupings. Players involved in current State programs will not be considered for selection. Approximate cost will be $850. Players will be required to train in preparation in January 2010.
Program Two
The under 20 mens and womens team training will start on Wednesday 14th October through to the 8th December (5:30pm till 7:30pm) under the direction of Mr Peter Pendle. The squads will train in preparation for the 2010 GBL season. Cost for the trainings will be $88 (total cost) for nine sessions with all players being given a reversible shirt, which they must train in.
Bigs Program
Starts on Friday 16th October (4pm till 5:45pm) and goes through to December 4th. This for players with the desire to play inside in the 3, 4 or 5 positions. Cost will be $55 which includes. Representative players should make every effort to attend these sessions.
Shooters Program
Start 6th February 2010. There will be 12 separate programs on offer that will all run for 4 weeks (one hour) on Sunday mornings. Younger players are encouraged to apply to be accepted from level one. Mature and more advanced players may enter at a level deemed appropriate to skill level.

The under 20 program starts on the 21st october from 5:30pm till 7:30pm on Wednesday nights. Applications will be on the website next Tuesday. We will be doing a men and womens program. On Sundays players involved will be expected to make themselves available for individuals. The players will train through to Xmas and then a selection process will be conducted with squads formed to compete in the GBL along with other players involved in the SEABL program. Any players who ae looking to get into the SEABL program need to apply for this program.
The big kids program starts in 2 weeks and wll operate on Friday afternoons from 4pm till 6pm. Again applicatins will be out next Tuesday from website.
The shooters program has been delayed for at least 6 weeks until we assess where the greatest need is.
Peter Pendle will be heading up the new programs that will also come on offer over the next 6 weeks.
