OK i know the Blazers assigned him to Dleague after his injury. But in his pro debut he had a cracker.

<Q>
Patrick Mills, on assignment from the Portland Trail Blazers with the Idaho Stampede, dropped 38 points off the Idaho bench Friday night, lifting the Stampede to a 123-109 New Year’s Day victory over the Reno Bighorns in the Reno Events Center.

Mills finished 7-of-10 from behind the arc and also had 12 assists in the win.

yea i know how cash is that, dub dub on his first game back from injury, i was sayin to my boys up here when we found out he got relegated that Mills just needs to get his foot in the door and he's sweet...

if he keeps up those numbers with all the injuries Blazers have, he's bound to get the call up before season end well hopefully anyway...

haha but its his foot that has been holding him back.

He may even suit up for clippers game yet. Blazers only have 8 players suiting up.

Dantonia runs 8 man rotations in NY, did the same when he ran Phoenix

That said alot of good teams are looking for good back up PGs. he just needs to make sure he is a distribute first, shoot second guard.

Last thing teams needsis more undersized shooting guards. just ask bayless, iverson, marbury, stephen curry etc etc who arent getting court time or even teams wanting them

Hey bud, just thought I'd let you know, it's D'Antoni, not Dantonia, and even though he only runs 7-8 guys, he still has 14-15 healthy guys to choose from on the roster.

Also not sure where you're getting the Steph Curry not getting any court time biz from. He's averaging 31.8 mins a game, and has started 29 out of 32. The kid is brilliant.

Mills had another good game and has been recalled to Portland already:

From The Columbian (http://www.columbian.com/news/2010/jan/03/blazers-recall-rookie-guard-mills/):

Portland, OR — The Portland Trail Blazers have recalled rookie guard Patty Mills from the team's NBA Development League affiliate, the Idaho Stampede, Blazers general manager Kevin Pritchard said Sunday night.

Mills is expected to join Portland for Monday's road game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Mills poured in 38 points, hit 7 of 10 3-point attempts and added 12 assists in his first game for the Stampede, a 123-109 road win over the Reno Bighorns on Friday.

Mills then recorded 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting and knocked down 4 of 5 3-point attempts during Idaho's 109-108 victory over the Bighorns on Sunday night.

“He looked fantastic (Friday). And that’s nice to see,” Pritchard said Saturday. “He’s not shy. He’ll put it up.”

You are right my apologies in terms of curry. He did sit alot at the start though but since jackson is gone his time has increased.

D'antoni spelling my bad. That said makes no difference if you have 15 to choose from if you only run 8. Means you only need 8 (unless you get an injury of course)

it's great to see him getting a shot at the bigtime and mills is smart enough to pass when he has too hence the 12 assists in his first game but i think he'll go the same as he did in the Boomers it took him some time to find his feet but once he did we all knew about it..

i know what your saying bout the 8 man rotation alot of coaches do it but all i meant was on the big road trips when your stars legs are gone that's when having the option of using ur 9- 10 man is good when you only have 8 guys you dont have that option...
