After a lot of hard work and planning tours to Japan by Australian basketball teams are now a bigger reality and easily organised for any time of year and at a price that is not out of reach for the majority of basketballers (which is most important!)
Numerous Japan Basketball associations and influencial identities have backed the push to attract Australian junior basketball teams to come and experience both the unique culture of Japan and some exciting international basketball experiences. Thanks to their support the Japan Basketball Tours organisation have set up the tours at an extremely cost effective price (http://www.japanbasketballtours.com/costtojapan.html) and due to this the quality of what the tour offers (http://www.japanbasketballtours.com/itineraryforjapan.html) is also exceptionally high.
The tours are available for all ages/levels and for both boys/girls tours. All members (including coaches and staff) stay (in pairs) in a home stay with local basketball families. This allows for all members to really experience the Japanese culture in a real life environment.
The organisation has received some very positive testimonials and feedback (http://www.japanbasketballtours.com/testimonials2.html) from some well known Qld coaches originating from a recent tour to Australia by two Japanese teams organised by the same organisation.
